Do I need experience?
No. Beginners are welcome. The program is designed so you can learn the basics of selling travel as you go, with training resources and community support.
Is this a job or an independent business opportunity?
Luminary is an independent business opportunity. It is not salaried employment. You decide how much time you invest and how you build your client base.
How do travel advisors earn commissions?
When a client books eligible travel through an approved supplier, the supplier pays a commission after travel is completed and payment terms are met. That commission is then shared according to your plan's approved structure. Rates vary by supplier, and income is not guaranteed.
Do I need to find my own clients?
Yes. Members are responsible for finding and serving their own clients. We provide training, tools, and marketing resources to help, yet we do not guarantee leads or bookings.
What training is provided?
Training includes Luminary Hub resources, advisor systems, Travel Leaders Network education, supplier training, CRM and tools training, social media training, how to sell training, system walkthroughs, job aids, and a weekly call and check in. See the Training section for what is self paced, recorded, group based, or coaching.
How much does it cost to join?
Luma starts at $59 per month, Glow at $109, and Illumineer at $209. Choose quarterly or yearly billing to lower your monthly rate. Radiance is a custom business solution priced around your needs.
When are commissions paid?
Commissions are paid on the 15th and 30th of each month.
Are travel discounts guaranteed?
No. Advisor travel benefits and supplier discounts vary by supplier and are not universally available. Some benefits may be available to qualifying advisors.
Can I start part time?
Absolutely. Many people begin part time around work, family, and other commitments, and grow at a pace that suits them.
What happens after I join?
You will receive onboarding instructions, access to the Luminary Hub and your core resources, and guidance on your first steps. From there you move through training, booking systems, quotations, and commission tracking.
